Why Mother Nature is Your Skin’s Best Friend

Many of us know we can optimize our skin health through our diet or synthetic topicals, but what we may not know is that whatever we  put on our skin, natural or otherwise, will ultimately find its way into our body through our bloodstream (Yikes!)

Mother Nature and her bounty offer the purest, cleanest (and most sustainable) ingredients, so we decided to tap into the wealth and create natural skincare products that not only clean and protect your skin, but doesn’t disrupt your health.

Organic Oils

Fat has gotten a bad rap in the past, and we are so happy to see it make a comeback, but did you know fat is also good for your face? Organic Coconut Oil, Organic Olive Oil and Organic Grapeseed Oil are all delicious to eat, but each of these oils are also packed full of nutritional benefits for your skin. Coconut Oil is naturally soothing and healing, and when mixed with heavier fats, it delivers total moisture to keep your skin fresh, supple, and glowing. Other oils, like Organic Olive Oil and Organic Grapeseed Oil, are both packed full of antioxidants and Vitamins like Vitamin E and C.

If you want healthy, glowing skin, try our Tallow Beauty Balm or Vitamin C Anti-Aging Night Serum. A little bit goes a long way, so remember a little dab'll do!! *We recommend using a pea size amount.

Spices, like Turmeric and Cayenne, each come from plants found in Mother Nature. Turmeric comes from a plant of the ginger family while Cayenne comes from pepper plants. Each of these spices can be used in cooking, but both can also be used in skincare. (Mother Nature is so smart isn’t She?). Turmeric is known for its powerful anti-inflammatory effects and has been shown to outperform other synthetic pharmaceuticals. On the other hand, Cayenne is known for it’s gentle warming properties, perfect for sore muscles, aches, and pains.

If you want to add a dash of spice to your skincare routine, we recommend our Warming Tallow Balm, perfect for relieving sore muscles after an intense workout or soothing painful menstrual cramps. Remember to wash your hands after applying!

Beef Tallow

Okay, so beef tallow may not grow in nature, but it is made from nature! Beef tallow is the healing fat rendered from pasture-raised, grass-fed cows. You may be surprised, but tallow closely matches the fatty acid profile of our skin cells. (Crazy, right?) Adding fats, like beef tallow, to our skincare regimen helps our skin cells stay healthy and hydrated. Remember, hydrated skin is happy skin!

Add beef tallow to your beauty routine with our Tallow Beauty Balm or try our lip balms, but be careful, they’re addictive! The good news? We swear they last forever! Choose from Citrus or Spearmint.

Activated Charcoal

We are also huge fans of activated charcoal as it decongests and clears the skin of toxins, which facilitates cell turnover, ultimately leaving you with glowing, healthy skin.

Interested in detoxifying your skin with activated charcoal? Stay tuned! We are hard at work on something very exciting, but in the meantime, follow us on Instagram @AmaraMarieBeauty so you don’t miss any news and updates!

In an industry that is inundated with confusion and contradiction, there is certainty in knowing you can turn to Mother Nature for answers, even when it comes to choosing your skincare products. As complex as life can be sometimes, there is a simple truth that sometimes the most basic ingredients can have the greatest impact on our skin and ultimately our health.
